Painting

February 8, 2008

When I was a senior in high school I saw some of the greatest paintings known to man. I went on a class trip to Spain and France, and in France we visited the Louvre. In the Louvre my favorite three I saw were the Mona Lisa, The Wedding at Cana, and Virgin of the Rocks. Theses painting were all so unique and beautiful and have so many different meaning no one knows about even thousands of years later. The Wedding at Cana was my all time favorite because of all the detail and the amount of people in it.

Kings

February 8, 2008

The cards are dealt and I got pocket kings. As I sit there I don’t want to give away my hand so I try and keep the same expression on my face as I did before. Now the big dilemma is what should I bet if I bet, or should I just call the blinds. The guy before me went all in. What should I do, should I call or should I lay down this hand and let someone else battle him. There is a lot of money on the line here should I risk it or wait. I called.

Musical Instrument

February 8, 2008

My favorite musical instrument has always been the drums. I played the snare drum when I was in the sixth grade. I had to lug the drum up and down President ave. back and forth to school every Friday just so I can learn how to play. I was getting really good at it and midway through the year I was asked to join to school band. I joined and we had a big concert at the end of the year. I was the only drummer there and I got to play the bass drum and snare drum that day.

Garden

February 8, 2008

When I was younger my grandfather had a small garden. He grew tomatoes, lettuce, and cucumbers. He also had three apple trees and two blueberry bushes. In the summer I use to go into the backyard and pick out apples I wanted to take home with me and take some blueberries in the house to snack on as we all watched some tv. Every time I went for diner there my nana would make her famous salad and it was always so good because of the fresh vegetable in the salad. The salad was then called nana’s salad

Drive

February 8, 2008

He turned to me and said I bet you ten dollars I can drive the ball 100 yards further than you can. I looked at him and said your on my friend. We drove down the street to the closest open driving range. We both grabbed our clubs and a bucket of balls and headed to an empty tee off. After we each warmed up, we each grabbed a different colored ball for the longest drive bet between us. He went first driving the ball 300 yards. Then I went and drove the ball 400 yards and won the bet.
